10 Years of Frontiers of Psychotherapist Development (FPD, Part VI). Frontiers Friday #194 ⭕️
Into the deep end with capturing weekly learnings, the using of Impact of Session Grid (ISG), and more...
This is final part of the 10 years in writing for Frontiers of Psychotherapist Development (FPD) series.
I’m going back to the drawing board to examine what might be the most relevant to write about. I’m also drawing from readers who have made suggestions over the years. If you have any suggestions, please let me know in the comments section below (if you are reading this in an email, you can download the Substack app for your mobile device (Apple, Android), or simply click on this link).
New Book:
Meanwhile, we are now in the editing phase and cover design of the new book, Crossing Between Worlds: Moving and Being Moved Through the Transitions of Life. As a small gesture of gratitude for giving your attention to FPD, I am hoping to create some sort of pre-release bonus gift exclusive to you who have been reading the Frontiers Friday. I’m open to suggestions!
Capturing Weekly Therapy Learnings
More than a decade ago, I would not have imagined this is to be one of the most important exercise I’ve adopted. It has also been rather surprised how much I’ve forgotten.
Analysing Sessions: “I Don’t Mean to be Mean But…”
I’ve worked on the Impact on Session Grid (ISG) for some time, and have only made this relevant in workshops, and for the therapists I consulted with. Hundreds of hours of therapy sessions have passed through this grid.
In this post, I’ve ran the ISG with a session by renowned couples therapist, Ester Perel.
You can also obtain a copy of the ISG here.Doubt
