Top Tip: Pomodoro Technique to Improve Focus
I've learned about this "kitchen timer" technique from famed MOOC teacher, Barbara Oakley some years back.
If you or your clients face challenges in procrastination, this deceptively simply use of a timer is really useful to deal with the inertia.
(When I'm focusing on deep work, I use an interval timer on my laptop.)
In the Deep Learner web-based workshop, we take a deeper dive protecting deep work time and on the importance of using of "focus" and "diffuse" modes in order to aid better learning.

I'm still reading this book by activist lawyer Valerie Kaur. Part memoir and part manifesto. I'm moved by her stories of struggles growing up as a Sikh in America, and her call for deep empathy to the wider community.

REFLECTION on "Psychological Oxygen":
We notice when we are deprived of oxygen in the air... hard to breathe, cut off from our needs being met, loss of sense of direction, and psychological symptoms appears.
The need for psychological oxygen is a life-long need.
As we strive to provide an environment of psychological oxygen for our clients, how do we provide this for ourselves as psychotherapists? How do we shape our environment for this life-long need?
