I'm reading Isabel Wilkerson's book Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents.
I am totally floored by Wikerson's ability in unravelling the unspoken hierarchies embedded in our societies. Not only does she traverse the vast landscapes in US, Germany, India, She asserts that racism is best understood in the caste system. Plus, you feel like you are in good hands as you read Wilkerson's work. What a craftsperson. If you work with people, especially those who are minorities, this is required reading.
Podcast Episode Flip the Script by Invisibilia
Hands down, Invisibilia is one of top 10 favorite podcast. Thoughtfully well-produced. In this episode, I'm gobsmacked by the first five minutes.... I won't spoil it for you. Hint: It touches on the potency of using "non-complimentary behavior"
